The SOLSTAR solar warning lamp is a "day sleeper" on solar energy. The lamp is activated in the evening with decreasing daylight by a built-in photocell. It starts blinking at dusk and switches itself off when it gets light again.
This warning lamp is powered by the solar panel located at the top of the lamp in the specially designed housing. The generated electrical charge is stored in a built-in lithium battery so that it is no longer necessary to replace batteries periodically.
The SOLSTAR lamp does have the traditional battery box of a Ministar. However, it only serves for the integrated anti-theft bracket with which the warning lamp is attached to beacons or barriers.
Before the solar barricade lamp can be used, you must first ensure that the lithium battery is charged. Place your SOLSTAR lamp in a sunny place for a few hours.
The autonomy of this warning lamp is around three days. But of course the battery is automatically charged every day so that the SOLSTAR always works.
By using LED technology for this barricade lamp, energy consumption is limited to the absolute minimum.
Remember that lower temperatures have a major impact on the life of all types of batteries. In winter, when it is colder and when there are fewer hours of daylight, the autonomy of the SOLSTAR warning lamp will therefore be shorter.
The warning lamp has an almost indestructible polycarbonate lens and a sturdy integrated bracket (Ø 6 mm) made of electrolytically galvanized steel to mount the site lamp on beacons, barriers, posts or fences. The yellow lens rotates so that you can always orient it in the right direction. The lens has a specially designed profile that maximally focuses the light and is surrounded by a prismatic reflector that increases the visibility of the SOLSTAR warning lamp.
Like all our warning lamps, the SOLSTAR also has a practical handle on top so that you can easily carry multiple lamps simultaneously. That is certainly useful when you place or remove your signage.
The nuts of the mounting bracket and of the closure of the battery case are equipped with an anti-theft profile so that they cannot be opened with a normal screwdriver. The universal key for all Traffimex site lamps can be ordered separately. From 20 lamps, three keys are supplied free of charge.
The SOLSTAR barricade lamp is often used on top of signs at the start of road works. Due to the greater height of those signs, it is sometimes more difficult to replace the batteries of normal warning lamps there. A higher placement of this warning lamp also reduces the risk of theft.
